College Days Coming!

I’m still around, y’all--never fear! :)

My daughter has confiscated my laptop, so I am laptopless, and the laptop was what I used to write my blogs. She’s been writing a lot, and we are researching the market and agents for her writing, which is amazing. I’m proud of how well she’s adjusting to life in Naples. She will have her license back in May, and she’s looking forward to that.

Joe was accepted to several well-known universities, but has narrowed his choice to two of the three full-ride scholarships he was offered-

Dartmouth or Northwestern, both of which are top-notch schools.

A full ride academic scholarship to those schools is a really big deal. Both of the colleges are offering us an all-expense paid trip to tour their campuses. I guess my ex will go to Northwestern with my son on April 15th, and I’ll  go to Dartmouth in New Hampshire with my son on April 24th-26th.
I’m very excited about the trip, and very proud of Joe.

Callie is doing very well at the University of San Francisco, making the dean’s list and excelling in all her classes. She just returned from a weekend trip to San Diego with her friends.
I just tried to upload a pic with this app, but doesn’t look like it’s working, so I’ll have to try and upload pics later when I have access to an actual computer.

Actually, I’m hoping this pic will load—Callie is bottom left, squinching her eyes.

Other activities we’ve been involved with lately include some local geocaching, thrift and antique store shopping, and paintball (thanks Will aka Taco from CC!)

We participated in a paintball tournament with Will and his team and although we came home a little bruised and battered after playing for almost 7 hours straight, we had a great time and will definitely participate in future tournaments!

Doing this blog on a phone is terrible. I’ll get this post fixed later. Lol.

Oh yeah, work is going well. Recently celebrated my one year anniversary there and got a pretty dan decent raise and bonus!
