Week 3 Full Steam Ahead

Monday, February 26, 2018
Week 2 was a success. Over the weekend, Joe had a quiz bowl, and Sunday, we tried an expert level escape room that used several different cyphers. We didn't escape, but not because we couldn't figure out the cyphers, but because we had missed a key hidden in one of the desk drawers and spent way too much time trying to figure out something we lacked the information to solve. So, once we found that key, we moved pretty quickly. The lady who runs the place was impressed we made it to the second room. We only had a couple more clues to figure out, so we were close. I think the lady said that only one or two teams had been able to escape before.  So, I think we'll go back at some time and finish the job.

Then we went out to eat at Outback, so that was delicious.

James and I watched a lot of movies this weekend, too. They seemed to be running a Jason Bateman marathon on TV, so we watched Identity Thief and The Change Up, among others. The babies in the kitchen scene in The Change Up was hilarious.

Yesterday, when we got home, we watched Anchorman 2. James hadn't seen it, but he thought the RV crash scene was as funny as I thought it was. Bowling balls and scorpions, lol. And the bat...

Anyway, it was a fun weekend!

Ssshhhh....

New Friends

Thursday, February 22, 2018
I'm starting to make friends at work. My boss and I get along well. We have similar interests in boxing and music. He's a really good x-ray tech with a good eye for anatomy. So I'm learning some new tricks. I'm pretty much on my own right now, but he comes in a few hours a day in case we have any special views or difficult cases that I'm not familiar with. And he's had to get me set up with the various hospitals and imaging centers in the area so I will be able to access them with my own account.

It's such a fun job! I can't believe how good the timing was in getting this job. I had sent out cold resumes to all the orthopedic places in the area, and less than a week and a half later, this place contacted me. I'm not sure how fierce the competition was, but I know the director was interviewing for a week or two. I'm so glad he chose me, and yesterday he said he was glad he made the right choice. So, that made me happy.

I'm getting to know my coworkers, and they're all nice, but a few really seem to click. There's a woman who boxes too, and she seemed happy to find someone else who boxes. She and her daughter go to a boxing gym. She's also an  excellent artist. She showed me some of her work, and I was in awe. She drew one picture of a dragon with some amazing eyes. I would love to commission her to draw me one.

Anyway, this is another job where I love going to work every day! Today, I only have a half day because the afternoon doctor is taking the day off. That'll be good for me too, so I can get some cleaning done at home and do a good long workout.

Now, for some local news:

My son's high school has been having some copycat action of what happened in Parkland. Three or four days ago, a kid found something concerning on social media and alerted the school, who alerted the police. Police showed up at the school and arrested the senior, who had a knife and "kill list" in his possession. The next day, two more kids were baker acted or arrested for concerning social media posts. Then yesterday, I got a text from my son saying he had a very stressful day. I'd gotten a text from the school saying they were made aware of a concerning text between a few kids, and police were investigating. That's it. No other information about it all day. When I'm at work, I don't watch the news. My son didn't text me until he was home.

Apparently, the situation was more concerning than the school initially told us. This is the text that went around:

My son's school is pretty new, and rated as "A" school. But I really think administration could have done a better job yesterday. Apparently, a lot of students panicked, and either ran from the school or had parents come check them out. I wish my son had texted me earlier--I would've had him out of there in a heartbeat after reading that text.

The kids at his school seem to be on top of how dire the trend in mass shootings are, and they had their own organized call for change yesterday:

But man, something has to change. Actually, a lot of things need to change. Parents need to provide a more active role in their kids lives. There should be some tougher laws on cyber-bullying, cyber-stalking, and cyber-harassing. Kids (and adults) with mental health issues need better access to care.  The D.A.R.E. program needs to be revamped and made a priority again.

The kids seem to be stepping up to do their part after the Parkland tragedy--they are starting to report concerning posts made on social media, and that's a great step in stopping the violence. Collier County has initiated a new campaign:

Anyway, my son and I had a long talk yesterday about what to do if a similar incident happens in the future, and I think our talk helped him feel more confident that he can take measures to keep himself safe. Yesterday, he wanted to leave, but was scared to join the kids walking off school property because he was afraid of getting in trouble.  I told him to not even think twice--just leave, and walk as far away from the school as possible, and call me right away.

So, I'm also reassured now that we have a plan in place.

Well, I was gonna right about some cool Norse women in history (and myth), but now I've gotta get ready for work. So I might write it when I get home, so today may have two posts...

Well, how about that? It's Thor's Day! Have a great one, and be safe.

Still in Awe

Wednesday, February 21, 2018
I'm still in awe at how perfect I fit into this new practice.

I worked with two doctors I hadn't worked with as of yet, and the morning doctor was quoting "The Office" left and right, and so the topic went to our favorite episodes, and everyone was laughing. My boss said that doctor was a "research freak," and I was like, "Yeah, me too...if the subject interests me, and quite a few subjects do." So, I have a feeling I'll laugh non-stop when that doctor is in the office.

So, yesterday was extremely busy, and today looks busy too. But tomorrow and Friday, not too busy at all. I've gotta be there a little early today, so this post will be short.

Just a quick update on things.

James read my little notebook diary last night, and laughed at my play by play of wrestling matches. I don't think he knew a friend and I were huge fans of professional wrestling. I'll be dating myself here, but I was a fan of Tommy Rich and Roddy Piper. James thought it was funny when I mentioned the Sheepherders in my diary. He was like, "Who were they? They sound really fierce!" Sheepherders...lol... I thought about it a second and said, "Aren't sheepherders basically shepherds?"

So, that was amusing. I can't remember who the Sheepherders were. Oh, I guess these completely sane-looking guys:

I can see why I liked Tommy Rich. Platinum blond surfer look:

And Roddy Piper--the Scot who also looked like a surfer. Lol.

So, yeah, I was a weird kid on many levels. Lol.

Happy Odin's Day!

To Presby

Tuesday, February 20, 2018

Hey Presby, aka “I think I am a law expert in all fifty states, but am really pretty clueless but still manage to fool the FOOLS with the occasional use of a legal term,”

Your new lying sack of pitiful peanuts, Jeff, is posting confidential medical information about Stephanie on your site. You gonna moderate that crap or not?

Didn’t you once lecture me about posting Jamie’s false medical conditions on a forum?

Blessed

I can't believe how blessed I feel to have found this great practice to work for. The director of radiology is training me this week on getting into the many different hospital systems we use to pull reports and such for the docs. As we were walking down the hall to the lunchroom, one of the nurse's pulled the director aside and said, "By the way, she's awesome," indicating me. I think my smile went from ear to ear. I'm picking up everything very quickly and I've already learned the whole computer system and have learned two of the doctors protocols. I am working with two new doctors I haven't met yet today, so I'm excited to meet them and learn their protocols.

Here's a few from my workstation. There are two additional computer screens that I use to the right of the one shown, too.

When I got home, I saw that since James had the day off, he continued working on his front yard water feature. I had mentioned that some blue would look really good, and he made it happen in a really neat way:

After I admired the progress of the water feature, I did a workout, despite being a little tired. It was tough, but I made it through. I figured if I fight through it tired, it'll be a little easier when I'm not as tired. It felt good, but I'm a little sore today.

OH...I wanted to shout out to Ricky real quick. Ricky, Jeff admitted to trespassing, too, and he admitted to searching on a military base, so maybe you should make a new "rap sheet" for Jeff, too. It's only fair. And you're posting libel by the way, because saying Stephanie has been arrested (has a rap sheet) is not only false, but you are posting it as fact.

Okay, back to some more fun stuff. Yesterday, I found this little rainbow pad that I used to keep a little diary in when I was 13-14 years old. I said some very silly stuff in it that made James and I laugh.

For example:

"Sunday, January 31, 1982

We went to horse (back riding) lessons today. Boy was that fun. We gave the great horse a bath & carrots. He was very gentle. He was a great thoroughbred. It was very easy riding him for our first lesson. Right after we gave him a bath, he rolled in the dirt! His name is Phinality (Finality) & he is an English riding horse."

I guess I didn't use many adjectives back then. Lol. Finality eventually became my friend's horse, then my horse, then her horse again. He was an over 16 hands tall gray thoroughbred, mostly white with some light gray dapples and a silvery mane. I wish I had a picture, but I bet my friend Trisha does. I'll see if I can get a pic from her (we're still friends).

Here's some silly drawing. Remember "popcorn pumpers?" Lol.

Oh, and this little excerpt from Friday, September 3rd, 1982:

"Star Wars is back and I want to see it again. When I see it again it will be my 21st time. I saw Raiders of the Lost Ark 20 times and Empire Strikes Back 20 times."

Yep, a nerd from the start. Lol.

Have a great "Tyrsday!"

Second Week...GO

Monday, February 19, 2018
First of all, I just have to say to silly ole Harry and Fools, we haven't been defeated. We haven't even BEGUN to fight yet. I don't really know what Jeff (illegally, btw) gave you, but I guarantee there's more to the story--you know, the other side, where the truth lies somewhere in the middle--like you guys always preach but don't live by. And I can guarantee you that one person's story can't be lumped into ALL stories. I have no wounds to lick, and Stephanie is being really smart with my help. Jeff won't get away with his lies and twisting of truth. Not by a long shot. But, unlike Jeff, and unlike Forrest (who is obviously desperate in his blatant damage control), and unlike you, we are going to do things the right, ethical way.

Forrest Fenn has done terrible, terrible things, and continues doing terrible things today. I will prove it. He is not a man, but a cowardly "lion." He is truly exactly what else he throws in your face but are too blind to see--in that purple sweater, he's telling you he's an ass in a lion's suit. However, like the ass, his proud "braying," has gotten him into some hot water, that you all don't know about. Of course he tries to hide his desperation. He really, really does not want HIS emails to be made public.

Do some research on "milk runs," and dig really deep into why women during wartime would be waiting or pretending to be doing something "important" in their underwear wearing nothing but rouge and dangling earrings around the time the milk boy was scheduled to come. And don't blame that pesky Texas heat...remember, FF opens his story in the winter. And when his employer yells ay him for taking so long he could've been taking lunch, well, yeah, he was taking a quick lunch, in a way. He's virtually using his friend's death to throw his misdeeds that he started as a boy in your face. How sick. He did the same with Mike Kammerer, you know.

All righty! That being said, I'm back to waking up early, which feels sorta good. But I'm also back to unrestful Sunday night sleeping because I spend the night thinking and planning my week and making sure I've remembered everything I need to remember for work.

Yesterday, I spent some time picking out my health benefits plan, and was thrilled to see my employer covers my health insurance premiums 100%! How awesome is that? I added vision for $4.16 per pay period, and I already have dental, so all is great. My deductible is almost non-existent, so the insurance is really, really good. I'm happy as pie.

Last night, when I did sleep, I went back to high school. I dreamed I was living in my parent's house, and there was a hyped up party being held by some friend's that me and my younger brother shared. For some reason, I really wanted to go to this party, which was being held down further on Tropical Trail, on a riverfront estate property. In reality, I skipped the parties in high school, and wouldn't normally be caught dead at one.

Anyway, in my dream, I spent a lot of time actually doing my hair and picking something to wear. I was planning on driving the "blue car," which was a convertible my parent's owned. In my dream, it was a small luxury sports convertible of unknown make and model. In real life, my dad had a blue Cobra, which may have been a contortion of the car in my dream.

So, after I was all ready for the party, I said goodbye to my parents and went out to the garage. The blue car wasn't there. I asked my dad where it was, and he said Patrick had taken it to the party! I was frustrated, but then my little brother comes back home, and I told him I had planned to take that car. He said our dad had let him take it. I said our mom had said I could take it. So, we decided to ride together, but by that time, I was having second thoughts about going to a party and was probably going to stay home. Then I woke up.

I thought that was a sorta funny dream, because that's how things sometimes really went in our house growing up. I think the picture my brother posted on FB the other day made me dream about high school, as well as posting those poems yesterday.

Back to the Fun

Sunday, February 18, 2018
Okay, so I'm gonna take some advice from the comments and return to posting about things that interest me. After all, with stuff in the works, a good soldier doesn't want the enemy knowing when or where stuff will go down, right? ;)

So, let's catch up on all the awesomeness in my life and talk about interesting stuff!

One funny blast from the past happened yesterday when my older brother posted this on Facebook:

He had these little electronic games hidden in his room so me and my little brother couldn't touch them. However, I was a pretty sneaky kid, and when my brother wasn't home, I'd head straight to the hiding place of the football game, take it out, play it for a while, then put it back in the exact same position I found it in. So, yesterday, I confessed. Lol.

I think I mentioned that I had an awesome first week at my new job. I'm picking up the system well, and was pleased to hear the guy who was training me tell the director on the phone that I was doing great, and he said something like, "Dude, I only have to show her once, and she knows it...yeah, even reports. I've been sitting in the back shooting the bull and practicing my golf swing and she's done rocked it alone all day." Lol... so hearing that made me feel that much better as I drove home under a sun filled sky.

Yesterday, James worked on the front yard. He's putting in an awesome water feature in the front plant bed. I think it's going to look great when he's done!

We also set up the dart board yesterday. James unfortunately was called into work today, so we won't get to try out the dart board until tonight.

Okay, someone asked something about a poem. I thought about it, and decided to show a poem I wrote when I was ten. Someone had doubted that I could write such "eloquent" poetry at that age, but I found the original, which isn't "exactly" as the poem I had sent someone in an email. Apparently, in transcribing it from book to book over the years, I had changed it a little. However, it remains basically the same as the original ten year old version.

Here is the poem:

Here is the other side of the paper with the date:

And here is a page from a notebook of the poem as it remains today:

The only amazing thing I can see from those pics is that I apparently used to like cats. Lol.

Modernistic was the name of the hair salon my mom bought. She later changed the name. But I used to sometimes have to hang out there while she worked, and I guess I passed the time writing poems and drawing cats.

Every kid is good at something. I liked poetry since I was very young, so I don't find it hard to believe that I found my niche early in life.

As the years passed, I would transcribe them several times, from little journals like the one below, or even scraps of paper and ruled notebooks into sheet-protected notebooks like the one above. In the one above, I didn't include the date they were written, but I usually did in the originals.

Anyway, here are some more pages from the same notebook as the poem I wrote when I was ten years old. These poems span many years, and you can see varying levels of angst (teenage years) to more reflective ones (early college and beyond).

Hope you enjoy one or two...

Anyway, I hope everyone has a great Sunday!

Awesome Week!

Friday, February 16, 2018

My first week of work was very, very awesome. I love this practice and how everyone has just one job. My back hurt the first couple nights from bending down and standing up all day, but I've learned that I don't need to really do that anymore with this new 100% digital x-ray machine. No need to change cassettes after every exposure, no more waiting 90 seconds to run each cassette through the machine. An exam that took ten minutes thats about 3 minutes here. Which means less time for patients to hold awkward or uncomfortable positions, and a smoother workflow and less wait times for patients. Which means happy patients, which means happy doctors, which means happy everyone. It's really pleasant. Everyone I've met so far is so nice to work with.

A rep brought us lunch from Panera the other day. I had time to grab a cookie and a chunk of bread, which was yummy. I still haven't eaten all of the cookie yet.

Today should be a relatively easy day because on Friday's the schedule ends at 3:00, and we try to be out of there soon after.

In other news, I'm beyond saddened by the school shooting near Boca Raton in Parkland, almost directly across from us on the east coast. I'm keeping their families and all the students in my prayers. I can't even begin to imagine the terror of the students involved and the anguish of the parents whose children didn't come home from school that day. Make sure you tell your kids you love them every time you say goodbye!

This weekend, James and I will celebrate Valentine's Day. I just am not sure what we're doing. Lol. Oh, don't know if I mentioned, but Joe passed his driving test with a perfect score! So proud of this kid! He doesn't usually let me post pics of him, but he gave me the okay for these. He's going through a huge growth spurt and is my height now! And still growing!

We have to provide a few candid photos for his New Zealand scholarship, so here's one. I may not submit this one, because I just noticed the Alfalfa piece of hair in the back...

Anyway, lots of good stuff going on around here. I'm excited for the summer! James wants to go to New Zealand to surprise Joe while he's there, but I don't think he realizes how expensive it is, and this is something Joe should experience without his mom hovering over him. It'll be the first time he's been away from a relative for an extended period. I think he'll have an amazing time!

Gung Ho!

Tuesday, February 13, 2018
I absolutely LOVE my new job, and the whole practice! The staff was friendly and truly acts as an efficient team. The flow was smooth and ran on-time. I had one job--x-ray--and the state-of-the-art equipment made it easy and fun. The patients were all pleasant. I'm sure there'll be hectic days, but my first day was like silk. They've got a great staff and a great system. I still miss my old office, but coming into one like this is really nice.

I'm looking forward to today. I work a half day today due to a light schedule, and I'm going to take Joe to get his license right after school. We were 14 minutes late last time we attempted.

Anyway, just a quick update to let you all know that my first day went really, really well!

Big Day!

Monday, February 12, 2018
I finally start my new job today!

It feels so great to prove the losers who claimed for months that I was "unemployable" and that "no one would ever hire me" wrong yet again! Lol!

And it's my dream job to boot! How great is that? It feels great to be in orthopedics again, doing the job I love, in a practice that's already strong yet still growing, with a young energetic staff and personable doctors.

That's something I'm really thankful for. Doctors sometimes have reputations for being...difficult. Lol. But this group, literally every doctor has an easy going and friendly personality. I can't wait to be a part of this team!

Other good news: I spoke with the founding national director of the Student Diplomacy Corps Joe got the scholarship from, and he was so enthusiastic about Joe and the program. He made me really wish I was going, too. Anyway, he said he had just had an hour Facetime with Joe, and he was so impressed. He said that in his many years involvement in the program, he'd never seen a kid with Joe's caliber. Wow. I am just so proud of that kid. Anyway, the guy is flying down here in April to meet with us about the trip. Apparently, acceptance into this program is a very big deal. And they're paying for it, too! I guess Joe will technically be going to Aeotearoa, to participate in the daily life of the Maori. One cool thing they get to do is float through glow worm caves. I cannot even describe how much I would like to experience that! What a unique, once in a lifetime adventure that will be for Joe!

Well, I've got my black scrubs on (no more purple for me!), and a new pair of dark blue and pink New Balance sneakers, and I'm ready to x-ray my heart out.

Have a great Monday everyone!

Catching Up

Thursday, February 8, 2018
Catching up on what’s going on around my wonderland. I told you all about Joe’s great news. He’s got more, too.

He’s involved in several clubs and doing well in all of them. His teachers love him and he seems well-liked by his classmates. His self-confidence is slowly climbing, and he’s a different kid than he was three years ago. He’s also going through a rapid growth spurt. He’s grown about three inches in three months and may be slightly taller than I am. And I think he’s still got an inch or three left to go. Tomorrow, I’m taking him for his driving test for his permanent license so he will be taking over my Rav and driving himself to school every day. That’s exciting but still a little terrifying. I think all mom’s can relate to the first time each child strikes out alone on the road for the first time.

Aidan is doing well in her role as kitchen manager in the new restaurant she’s working for. She had a big scare a few nights  ago, though, when someone attempted a home invasion while she was sleeping. They smashed her bedroom window and glass sprayed onto the bed she was sleeping on. Thank goodness Kodak, her rescue dog, was there. He started barking ferociously and the guy ran away. Aidan called the police and thankfully, the landlord replaced the window the same day.

Callie is doing well, too. She’s so responsible and mature. She’s been busy applying to colleges, but her two top picks are Brown and UCLA. We might go tour Brown this summer. She’s got a few scholarship opportunities, and I’m excited to see what career path she ventures on.

Yesterday, Joe and I got haircuts, and Joe practiced some of the things he has to perform for his driving exam. Today, I’m going to the practice’s office in another nearby city to meet the physicians and staff and to sign the last paperwork. I’ll also meet the MRI tech who’ll be cross-training me to MRI.

Monday is my first official start day for the Naples office. Finally! Woohoo! I’m excited.

A Little Bit O’Bragging About My Boy

Wednesday, February 7, 2018
UPDATE: I just got off the phone with the guy who’s in charge of the scholarship and he said Joe was their number one choice by far, so he gets to go to his first choice country— NEW ZEALAND! So proud!

I’m so proud of Joe! He interviewed for a scholarship and opportunity to be an “ambassador” to a foreign country over the summer, and he won!! So, he gets to spend a few weeks this summer with a host family in New Zealand or China and have the opportunity to do many one-in-a-lifetime things!

I am a super proud Momma right now!!

Which Reality Do You Live In? Or One Aspect of Quantum Physics Dumbed Down...A Lot

Friday, February 2, 2018
DISCLAIMER: I am not an expert in quantum physics. I just thought it was amateur day or something. And although I’m not an expert, don’t consider this imitation. Consider it a lesson. But really, a lesson in class and tact and overall grace and manners is what needs to be taught amongst certain circles.

Did you know that a possibility of alternate realities exist? Since the beginning of the age of science fiction, there has been endless speculation about the possibility that the world you live in right at this moment, can change in the blink of an eye by a sudden quantum shift of electrons that make up the existence you now live in.

Wait, what?

Imagine you're looking into a seemingly infinite mirror in a mirror in a mirror. Now imagine taking a step forward so that you're nose to nose to nose to nose with your reflections. Close your eyes--or don't--then take another step forward.

What if the solid mass of the mirror, for an incalculable tiny fraction of a second, disobeyed all the known laws of physics, and you stepped through into the next mirror. You spin around, and the mirror that was behind you is no longer there, but there still seems to be the same amount of infinite mirrors ahead of you.

You decide there are better ways to spend your day than looking in the mirror, even though you like to fancy yourself as God's gift to humankind. So you put on your hiking boots, grab your credit card, and buy a plane ticket straight to Montana.

You sit back, rather stiffly, in your main cabin seat, and pull out your favorite book-- The Berenstein Bears.

Reaching in your Chic-Fil-A bag, you pull out your chicken sandwich and take a bite, then immediately gag and spit out the ketchup-laden hunk of lightly battered fowl onto your fold-down tray. "Since when does Chic-Fil-A put ketchup on their sandwiches?"

But you dismiss it as some crazy fluke, although you'd like to cry because you don't get to enjoy your sandwich while looking at those silly bears.

You land in Montana, excitement bubbling inside you as you picture the singularly unique rock formation you're sure holds the answer to the location of a fabulous treasure.

Out on the trail, your feet are sure, heading for a spot you've been to a thousand times before.

But when you get to "the spot," it's not there. Instead, you find the lair of a giant unicorn. And it's not a pleasant, silky-white unicorn of fairy tales and Scottish Highlands, but a ferocious coal-black unicorn with blaring red eyes that burn into your soul.

What has just happened? Where are you? Certainly not in the world you once knew, where the picnicking Berenstain Bears frolic in the grass, or where Chick-Fil-A's sandwiches contain nothing extra but a little butter and perhaps a pickle.

The reality you woke up to this morning, is not the reality you're facing right now, and you just peed your size 22 jeans.

When you stepped through the mirror, you stepped through at the exact moment the electrons that formed your world intentionally decide to alter their normal behavior and do something different.

Wait, what? How can electrons decide anything? Physics tells us that there are rules or laws -- motion, force, and all that, right?

Well, no, not really. It's pretty weird actually, but it appears that electrons know when you're watching them. And when they realize you're right there, nose to nose with them, they can decide to act in a different, more unpredictable way...in mid-stride.

How can that be? How can something without a conscious, without a real "brain," know when you're watching them? How can they change how they move at the precise moment when they discover they're being watched?

Heck, I don't know. But they do.

In what's called the "Double-Slit Experiment," physicists expect that electrons move toward and through a slit cut into a screen onto a detection screen behind it in a predictable fashion--the electrons will be detected on the screen as a single band. When a double-slitted screen replaces the single slit screen, the electrons move through each band and form not the expected two bands on the screen, but a wave pattern, where the band in the middle is the most intense, and the bands radiating out from it are less intense. Now, that's sorta crazy in itself. Physicists theorized that the electrons somehow passed through the slits, bounced off each other after they passed through the slits and created the characteristic interference wave pattern.

But, dang, when they thought they could predict what would happen when they fired electrons one at a time, it would make interference impossible, and surely the electrons would go through one slit or the other, and appear on the screen as the two bands they initially expected.

Nope! To their amazement, the matter still created an interference pattern and appeared as a wave on the screen. Mathematically, they'd just witnessed something theoretically impossible--each electron somehow went through both screens while at the same time going through neither screen, and at the same time going through one slit while at the same time, going through the other.

How in the world (or worlds) is that possible? How can a single electron interfere with itself? And how do the single electrons know where to land on the detector screen to form a final uniform wave pattern? How do they know where the previous electrons have landed, and how do they choose where they will land? How can single electrons land on the screen as particles, but as each successive electron is fired, form a final wave pattern? They call this wave-particle duality, but how can that be possible?

I don't know. It's a problem, though. And it gets more complicated.

When the physicist placed a measuring device to observe the electrons, the electrons changed their behavior, and all the electrons hit the screen as particles, appearing on the screen as two bands! It appeared that the electrons were aware they were being watched, and purposely wanted to startle the bejeebus out of the physicists! It's like when you approach a dead body in the woods, and as you get your face right up to theirs, they snap open their eyes and rip off your face.

Well, probably not that startling, but still...disconcerting.

And that's not even as spooky as it gets! Physicists again tried to predict what would happen when the observer didn't watch until the electron had already passed through the slit...of course, the electron wouldn't be able to change it's motion after it went through the slit, right?

Well, wrong.

As the electron passed through the slits in a wave pattern, once they were observed, they again changed their behavior to hit the screen in a particle pattern. The implications are just plain crazy. It suggests that once the electrons know they're being observed after passing through the slit, they can travel back in time to correct their already set motion!

Physicists could come to no other conclusion but infinite potentialities. That's freaking amazing, because it opens up the possibility that there is a black unicorn out there...somewhere.

I think my alternate reality would be more pleasant, though:
