What a great weekend...

I woke up still happy...I think it's very close to giving my three months notice to my work and landlord, which means I have to kick it up a notch sell, give, or throw away almost everything I own. Lol.

I am very blessed...I love so much about him...like how he's not afraid to use emoji's...after every single text...lol

Can anyone guess why I answered "7?" :)

Anyway, I love seeing those emojis throughout the day, and even more, the special words that precede them.

But I've got to phase back into work mode and concentrate on helping people today. And I've got to devote at least an hour after work every day to sorting through the stuff I've collected over the last 30 plus years and the stuff my mom had collected (mostly clothes) over the last ten years or so.

I should be in pretty good shape to move in a few months...and I'll try to get a part time job when I move, so I can devote more time to our business and the kids as they transition to college. Aidan wants to move down with us if she can get a good job down there, and an apartment. She's itching to break free of the family home and live on her own. I'm good with that, as long as she takes the cats. Lol. I'm glad she wants to be near me. She's an amazing kid. And Callie will also be with us. :)

Joe is also eager to move. But a little torn about leaving his friends. However, his friends go to another school , and he rarely sees them in person, anyway...the days of going over to another kid's house to play are becoming a thing of the past. Now they all hang out online, where they play games together and talk via headset. I didn't like it at first, but it's one of those things that go with the times.

Even when they do come over to our house, it looks like this:

It'll be good when we move because Joe likes to hang out with James and they share a lot of interest, like telescopes, drones, and nerd stuff. James has this little globe that floats via magnetism. Joe loves this kind of stuff.

Anyway, I knew the right guy was out there, somewhere, but was beginning to wonder if I'd ever found him. I'm so glad I did...or rather, he found me...and I'm so glad he did.

It takes me a while to warm up to people, and this weekend I think I finally realized how wonderful a gem I've been blessed with. Everyone's been telling me how great he is, and I knew he was, but the hurt and betrayal my family suffered at the hands of my ex left a lasting impression and manifested itself by an invisible wall I'd built around myself, and my kids. I would do anything to prevent them from experiencing that kind of hurt again.

But I trust James; that man would never knowingly hurt a soul, and that makes him very, very special.

Well, I guess I gotta get ready for work...
