My secret agent (not Fundy) sent me some screenshots of your "story," and I'd be happy to "red ink" it before you try to publish it. But first, I gotta correct ya...if by Mindy Mouse you were referring to my voice...ummm, the Fennboree voice is not the one to go by...
Soooo, there ya have it.
Moving on...I have to take a reluctant day off work Friday. I'm not looking forward to it...
Okay, if some of you have commented on my Hot Spot blog, but haven't read it in a while, I finally announced the winners of the "What Do You See?" contest. Check to see if you're one...and if you commented and named something you saw, but I didn't name you a winner, send me an email and I'll send you a book anyway. When I named several winners, The Wolf generously offered to go in half on the cost, so I can afford to send out a few more. But the comment has to be on my blog and it has to be a specific thing you saw in the mirror image, and you can't claim a prize posted by "Anonymous."
Let's see...
I'm finishing up a TedEd lesson about the Vikings...
And I'm trying to get ready for Christmas, but when it's 86 degrees out, it's hard to get in the Christmas Spirit. We moved our office party from the 16th to the 20th, so I was sorta happy about that, because I haven't bought my secret Santa gift yet. I need to get on the ball, but I have to wait til after Friday, cause I have to see what my copay for this procedure will be...
I also have something in mind for a YouTube channel...James and I have a few ideas we're tossing around...but haven't talked to much about them yet. A really good idea (I think) is forming in my mind, though. We'll see.
Oh yeah, today is Pearl Harbor Day. On this day in 1941, the Japanese surprise attacked Pearl Harbor, killing 2,403 people.
The history before the attack on Pearl Harbor is interesting...here's what Wikipeida says:
"Pearl Harbor was originally an extensive shallow embayment called Wai Momi (meaning, “Waters of Pearl”) or Puʻuloa (meaning, “long hill”) by the Hawaiians. Puʻuloa was regarded as the home of the shark goddess, Kaʻahupahau, and her brother (or son), Kahiʻuka, in Hawaiian legends. According to tradition, Keaunui, the head of the powerful Ewa chiefs, is credited with cutting a navigable channel near the present Puʻuloa saltworks, by which he made the estuary, known as "Pearl River," accessible to navigation. Making due allowance for legendary amplification, the estuary already had an outlet for its waters where the present gap is; but Keaunui is typically given the credit for widening and deepening it."
Pearl Harbor also has an islet in the center of it, Ford Island.
Wikipedia:
"Ford Island (Hawaiian: Poka ʻAilana) is an islet in the center of Pearl Harbor, Oahu, in the U.S. state of Hawaii. It has been known as Rabbit Island, Marín's Island, and Little Goats Island, and its native Hawaiian name is Mokuʻumeʻume."
Interesting...that might need a little more research.
Isn't our planet just insanely awesome? There are soooo many things we don't know, soooo many things I want to know. I want to watch every episode of Planet Earth II, and learn more about Hawaii, and learn more about sooo many things. It's no wonder I can't find the attention span to hone in more precisely on my spot for the treasure. Jenny's site is way too distracting, too, because she has so much information on so many interesting topics. Sometimes my head feels like its going to explode from all the knowledge I try to cram into it...lol.
James's house hunt in Naples is going well...it looks like he could move as early as mid-January. Very exciting!
But now, I've gotta get my clothes out of the dryer and start the day rolling...

Congratulations to all the winners. Well deserved.
Mindy, I just listened to your audio and glad to hear your voice has returned back to normal. Did you tape this while in a bath? I could hear a slight echo and water dripping from a leaky faucet. Just curious to see if my ears deceived me.
Hope everything turns out okay on Friday.
